A search of the house of the former Head of the Propam Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo heavily armed Brimob personnel. What is the reason?
“That’s technical. Requests from investigators to do backup related to the issue of search efforts carried out at three locations in the afternoon,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo at the National Police Headquarters, Tuesday (9/8/2022).
In addition to the fully armed Brimob personnel, the search this afternoon was accompanied by the deployment of three tactical vehicles Brimob. Brimob members were also standing alert in the deployed tactical vehicles.

Was the fully armed Brimob guarding carried out because there was a threat?
Dedi said the tight guard was at the request of the Special Team investigator formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“That’s the investigator’s discretion. If the investigator sees something like that, yes, the investigator considers it that way. Investigators ask for help to backup in-process security search,” he said.
He said that this afternoon, the Special Team searched three locations. In addition to the private house on Jalan Saguling III, searches were also carried out at the official house of the Head of the Propam Division at the Duren Tiga Police Complex and another location on Jalan Bangka, South Jakarta (South Jakarta).
He said the searches at the three locations had obtained permission from the South Jakarta District Court.
“To look for evidence, which is related to the shooting problem that occurred at the Duren Tiga TKP. What was the result? Since it is still an allegation process, it will be conveyed to all of my friends,” he said.
Previously, it was reported that a number of fully armed Brimob personnel guarded the search conducted at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo’s private home. Apart from Brimob personnel, in the raid there were also Propam and Inafis personnel.
