Moulin Rouge -musical performance was interrupted on Tuesday, October 29, when Risto Kaskilahti, who plays Harold Zigler, started to feel bad after half an hour.
According to information from Iltalehti, Kaskilahti slurred his words and was feeling unwell on stage. Osku Ärilä took Kaskilahti’s place as a backup actor in an instant, and Kaskilahti himself went to the hospital. The next day, it was reported that Kaskilahti will not act in the Wednesday or Friday shows.
Iltalehti now reached Kaskilahti to give an update on his condition. Kaskilahti commented in a message that the reason for the seizure has been found and he can return to work.
– Yes, feeling normal. And yes, many tests, imaging and studies were done. The culprit was found and now we are bouncing back to the strength of the theater. Your training, Margot, continues and on Wednesday you will be Zidler again! He said in his message.
The play Yours, Margot premieres in February. Moulin Rouge again has been running at the Helsinki City Theater since August.
