BUMN Minister Erick Thohir decided to fire all the directors of Kimia Farma Diagnostika (KFD). The dismissal was in the aftermath of the case used antigen tool at Kualanamu Airport.

Erick Thohir emphasized that SOEs act professionally accordingly core value which exists. This means that BUMNs work in a trustworthy, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative manner.

“Because it is not in line with these core values, it does not look at who and what position, so we invite you to have a career in another place,” said Erick in his statement on Sunday (16/5/2021).

According to him, the decision was not a punishment, but a commitment that had to be maintained in order to provide good service to the community.

“The accumulation of all these things makes us obliged to take this step. This is not a step to punish, but a step to uphold and ensure that all SOEs are committed to serving, protecting and working for the benefit of society,” he said.

Erick explained that the dismissal of all KFD directors was carried out after conducting a comprehensive study. He also handed over the case of using the used antigen tool to the police.

“After conducting a comprehensive study, this (dismissal) step must be taken. Furthermore, matters relating to law are the domain of the authorized apparatus,” he said.

In this case, the police named five Kimia Farma employees as suspects in the alleged use of used antigen test kits at Kualanamu Airport. The suspects are the former Business Manager of the Kimia Farma Laboratory Jl Kartini Medan PM (45), a former courier for the Kimia Farma laboratory, SR (19), a former CS in the Kimia Farma DJ laboratory laboratory (20), a former worker in the admin section of the Kimia Farma lab Jl Kartini Medan. M (30), and former admin workers from the swab R (21).

This case began when the police carried out a raid at the location of the antigen testing service at Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra (North Sumatra). This case came to light when the police went undercover.

The raid was carried out after the police received complaints from prospective aircraft passengers who found the results rapid positive COVID-19 antigen in a period of approximately 1 week. The raids were carried out undercover. While undercover, one of the policemen registered as a potential passenger who wanted to follow rapid test antigen. After standing in line, he entered the examination room and was put in a test kit rapid antigen to its nostrils.
