The reason Benelli brought Harley-Davidson ‘KW’ to Indonesia

Jakarta

Who doesn’t know motorbikes Harley-Davidson which became iconic in the eyes of two-wheelers. Not a few have dreamed of owning this motorbike, but it was never achieved because the price was extremely expensive in Indonesia.

Seeing that interest in Harley-Davidson is still high, PT Benelli Motor Indonesia (BMI) brought in a choice of moge cruisers such as Harley-Davidson. Benelli put in the model Keeway V250 FI which looks almost the same as the Harley-Davidson Fatboy.

“It seems that HD wannabe enthusiasts are not just there, but many. They, sorry to say, can’t buy the original because it’s too expensive so yes they want this HD to have an option,” said Director of PT Benelli Motor Indonesia (BMI), Steven Kentjana in the inauguration session and the launch of Keeway in Cikini, Central Jakarta, Friday (30/10/2020).

In addition, this model also fills the void of Benelli, who has yet to launch a new model in Indonesia in 2020. Even though Benelli usually has new products from year to year since he was in Indonesia.

“I brought this model to add to the lineup of this product itself. From 2013 we officially launched until now every year there is always a new type. I see that ATPMs must exist and have a commitment,” he continued.

Talking about the Kewway V250 FI, it is very synonymous with Harley-Davidson Fatboy. For information, Keeway did not copy it but did have cooperation with Harley-Davidson and Benelli under the umbrella of Qianjiang.

Harley-Davidson itself also plans to use the Qianjiang platform for its new small engine motorbike. So it can be said that the Chinese American and European brands have shared knowledge and resources in offering products to the market.
