Recently, 55-year-old Nadine Macaluso finally told her side of the story, posting a video on TikTok to share the secrets of her marriage and reveal which of the film’s scenes actually happened. Some scenes were embellished or completely made up for dramatic effect, including the famous nursery scene, but they also included true moments from their married life, she said.
In a recent TikTok post, Nadine recalled how she guessed a very telling detail at one point in the film, sharing a clip from the couple’s first date scene. Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays Jordan, sits across from Margot at a restaurant table as she beckons to the waiter, raising her hand and asking, “Give me a straw, please.”
“Funny truth about this scene that you probably weren’t expecting to hear from me. It’s true, I do drink red wine from a straw. I don’t want to ruin my veneers and it works by keeping them white,” the ex-wife shared the details Belfort.
Fans of the film thanked her for the explanation, and some said they were doing the same thing. When one person questioned how the producers knew such a “little detail” about her, Nadine revealed that one of the writers found out after meeting her for lunch.
Following her split from Jordan, Nadine, who was known as the “Duchess of Bayridge” during their marriage, accused him of abuse and infidelity fueled by his drug addiction. In one of her TikTok videos, she claimed that Jordan once set her jewelry and clothes on fire and even pushed her down the stairs when she was planning to end the relationship.
