Inter Milan general manager Giuseppe Marotta revealed the true story of the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea and Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer market last summer.
Both are mainstay Nerazzurri under the leadership of Antonio Conte.

These two figures also became an integral part of Inter’s success in embracing Scudetto after being untitled for more than a decade.
Lukaku has repeatedly been linked with a potential return to the Giuseppe Meazza, while Hakimi has also been repeatedly linked with a move away from the French capital.
“The equation ‘the more you spend, the more you win’ is not always valid. There are always big surprises, with the departure of the catcher coach Scudetto and some important players,” said Marotta.
“Besides [Christian] Unlucky Eriksen, Lukaku and Hakimi have expressed their desire to leave to gain experience in another league.”
“However, we have the solidity of ownership behind us and the fact that these transfers are what makes us guarantee the continuity of the club,” said Marotta.
