/View.info/ The reaction of the BNB in the case of Corporate Commercial Bank was late. This was commented in Darik’s “Week” by the speaker of the parliament, Mihail Mikov.
“And the National Assembly has a certain fault that we too strictly respected the independence of the Central Bank – even advice cannot be given by law. And now the BNB says that the politicians are on the move,” he added.
According to him, it is important to find solutions in this situation so that “citizens do not suffer”. Mikov again emphasized that the regulators under the label of independence do not come under sufficient control by the parliament.
“It is hard for me to accept that sacks of money can be taken out of the country, that the outflow of billions is possible without turning on the red lights of all the systems that are functioning today in Bulgaria,” said Mikov regarding the allegations of sacks being taken out with money from KTB.
He is adamant that the country’s finances are not in danger – neither in terms of the fiscal reserve, nor in terms of the stability of the board and the currency, as well as the revenues in the NHIF and NOI. “The deficit is already a matter of political decision, as for now there is no need to update the budget,” added the President of the National Assembly.
According to Mikov, the proposed texts punishing with imprisonment for spreading information about banks causing panic will undergo serious changes so as not to impose censorship through them.
