The reaction that Spanish athlete Águeda Marqués has had to a much-talked-about video of her that TVE recorded at the Olympic Games is sweeping social media, and with good reason, because it is pure gold.
The images show Marqués’s extremely emotional reaction when he saw the race of his teammate and friend Marta Pérez, who has broken the Spanish record.
“Spanish record! Spanish record for Marta! Wow!” shouts the athlete, who then exclaims: “How cool! How crazy! How crazy!”
Seeing that the video was spreading very quickly and provoking great praise, Marqués has written a message on social network X that is pure gold.
“HAHAHAHAHA. I didn’t know you had recorded this😅😂. How embarrassing. But yes, I couldn’t be happier. How well it went,” she said in a message that in just one hour had already surpassed 4,000 ‘likes’.
“Embarrassed??? Getting emotional is the most authentic and beautiful thing in the world,” one user responded. And, in the same vein, another user said: “No shame at all.”
“Many of us who are not regular athletics fans discovered you at these Olympics with the interview you did after your first race and we were fascinated by your naturalness and your positive and enjoyable attitude. Today we are all with you no matter what happens,” he added.
