The RC Lens weekend program

While the professional group of RC Lens is on hiatus following the international break, the other Lensoise teams are on deck in official competition at the national level this weekend. Find the program below.

Saturday 9 October, 3 p.m., 8th day of group A of the U19 national championship:
RC Lens-Valenciennes
After 2 draws 2-2 against Caen then Chambly, Eric Sikora’s RC Lens are preparing for the derby against Valenciennes. The VAFC is in good shape at the start of the championship with a good 3rd place and 15 points on the clock. Lens is in 10th place with 6 units.

Saturday October 9, 6 p.m., Day 9 of Group A of National 2:
RC Lens-Reims
After a 2-week break following a last weekend devoted to the Coupe de France for the other N2 clubs, Racing receives the reserve from Reims. Yohan Demont’s men remain on a series of 2 draws 1-1 and have only known one victory in 8 games. Penultimate in the championship with 5 points, RCL needs points and it will not be easy against one of the successful teams at the start of the season. Reims is indeed 3rd with 14 points.

Sunday October 10, 1 p.m., 5th day of group A of the 2nd women’s division:
La Roche-sur-Yon-RC Lens
After 2 draws 2-2 against Vendenheim then Metz, Sarah M’Barek’s team will try to win their first success of the season on the lawn of La Roche-sur-Yon. The Yonnaisses, red lantern of the championship, have still not scored a single point.

Sunday 10 October, 3 p.m., 7th day of group B of the U17 national championship:
Boulogne-sur-Mer-RC Lens
Anthyme Charlet’s team remains on a big slap 5-1 at home against Amiens. While the team remains on 2 consecutive defeats, a reaction will be expected against USBCO which is however 2nd in the championship with 12 points. Not an easy match for the young Sang et Or.
