After all, in 2011 the Audi R18 TDI Ultra, a special of the highest category LMP1 (Le Mans Prototype), dominated the race. Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer trio took turns in the cab of the winning car (two R18s had an accident in the race).
The prototype was powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder diesel fork with a volume of 3.7 liters and an output of at least 397 kW. According to available information, they built eight units at Audi, of which six have been preserved to date. And it is said that only one functional is in private hands.
Yes, this is the car that you can see in the gallery. And it is also a car that is currently for sale, offered by the Luxembourg company Art & Revs.

According to the dealer, this is a car with chassis # 100, which never raced. He was used by Audi mainly for testing and homologation, but he was ready for some competitions as a “substitute”.
It is also interesting that the car was modified in 2013 to look like the then hybrid R18 e-tron quattro. Five years later, however, it regained its 2011 appearance at Audi Sport. And it has not moved since then.
The seller further claims that the prototype is ready to go on racing circuits, with the engine life estimated at 10,000 kilometers and the sequential gearbox reportedly lasting some 7,000 kilometers. The former owner of the Audi Sport team will reportedly help the new owner with the service.
And the price? Unfortunately, it is only on request. But it will definitely not be low.
