The ranking of Tipico power before the tenth day

Before each matchday in the Bundesliga, we take a look at the teams that are currently performing the best. The Tipico Power Ranking gives you a quick overview of the teams in the best shape.

SV Werder Bremen are in a really good mood: the newly promoted team have lost only one of their last five games. Even the goals scored in this period are not surpassed by any other team. Only 1. FC Köln have scored ten goals in their last five games. After the last two wins in a row, SVW is in fifth place. Although the Champion Cup chants of Bremen fans are perhaps a little too early at the Weser Stadium: the first place in the Tipico Power Ranking belongs to Ole Werner’s team.

In second place is 1. FC Union Berlin. After their first defeat of the season on Matchday 8, 0: 2 at SGE, the Köpenickers are back on track and defended their sensational lead in the standings with a triple against VfB Stuttgart on Matchday 9 (1: 0). In their last five games, the Irons have conceded only three goals, with only six goals conceded this season, Urs Fischer’s side have the best defense in the Bundesliga. The Berliners will now face Borussia Dortmund on Super Sunday.

FC Augsburg remain a surprise side: after a difficult start, the Fuggerstädter have remained unbeaten in their last four games. After three straight wins, including a 1-0 win against FC Bayern, there was a 1-1 draw against Wolfsburg on Matchday 9. FCA remains tenth, but already has 13 points and therefore only three points less than Bayern or Dortmund! In the next matches Augsburg wants to continue the upward trend with coach Enrico Maaßen.

Eintracht Frankfurt has dropped slightly from first place in the power standings: after the 0-3 defeat at VfL Bochum, Assia are now fourth. Nonetheless, the SBU remains in contact with the Champions League places with three wins in the last five games: the gap is only two points.

Meanwhile, Sport-Club Freiburg is consistently in the top 4 of the Bundesliga, which would give them the right to take part in the Champions League next season. The Breisgauers are second and have already scored 18 points. Christian Streich’s side have suffered only one defeat this season. It will be exciting to see if it stays that way after the SuperSonntag: because SC will go to Bayern, who are 12th in the power table with just one win in five games.
