The Ramón Noble International Classical Guitar Festival will begin this Monday, October 9, with an inaugural concert by Luis Benítez Alba at 7 pm, at the Hidalgo Bartolomé Theater in Medina.
Simultaneously, the duo made up of Ligia Mastruzzo and Federico Núñez will perform at the Teatro Hidalgo, in the municipality of Ixmiquilpan, since there will be seven municipalities where experienced musicians can also be heard in 15 concerts.
This was announced by Diana Rangel Zúñiga, director of the State Council for Culture and the Arts of Hidalgo (Cecultah), who explained that the festival aims to create artistic meeting spaces for children, adolescents and youth of Apan, Ixmiquilpan, Mineral del Chico, Mixquiahuala de Juárez, Pachuca de Soto, Tepeji del Río and Tlahuelilpan.
From October 9 to 14, in seven municipalities, in addition to concerts, three master classes and a conference will be offered.
“We want them to discover interest in musical practice, as well as appreciation of repertoires that cover various genres and authors with a cultural trajectory in this instrument that has more than 500 years of history,” indicated the director.
Among the list of participants of the renowned guitarists and academics are: Luis Benitez Alba, Marvin Lopez, Gustavo Servin, Francisco Villegas, Jose Martin Rodriguez, Ernesto Hernandez and Ricardo Salinas of Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Hidalgo, as well Ligia Mastruzzo and Federico Nunez, from Argentina.
