Muhammad Amer, president announced Railway authorityon the prices of the Spanish train tickets Talgo, so that first class tickets from Cairo to Alexandria and vice versa are £ 200, and the price of the second class ticket from Cairo to Alexandria and vice versa is £ 150.
The head of the Railway Authority confirmed that the Authority is preparing to run the Talgo train in the middle of this month, on the Egypt-Alexandria line, after the completion of the train test exercise, as the train is expected to be operated from the railway sleepers company.
The Ministry of Transport, represented by the Railway Authority, has entered into a contract with the Spanish company Talgo for the production and supply of 7 new luxury sleeper trains, as well as carrying out maintenance work for a period of (15) years, including the availability and supply of spare parts and equipment for trains and a train has arrived and operated experimentally on the railway.
