After several establishments in Europe, in Brussels among the last, and its recent beginnings in Africa, in Bamako, the Radisson Collection continues its development in Asia-Pacific. The luxury brand of the Radisson group has indeed unveiled a first hotel in China, in Shanghai, in the central district of Xujiahui, near many office towers, but also picturesque tree-lined avenues.
« We are excited to launch our first Radisson Collection hotel in Shanghai, a premier destination for business and leisure. This is a new milestone in our expansion and in projecting the brand’s strong growth in the region.“Said Katerina Giannouka, President of the Asia-Pacific region of the Radisson Hotel group.
Neighboring historic villas and 1930s Art Deco buildings, the Radisson Collection, Xing Guo Shanghai presents itself as an urban oasis installed in a large garden with manicured lawns. The hotel’s 16 floors house 185 comfortable rooms and suites, ranging from 30 to 54 m2, equipped with state-of-the-art solutions, such as an air purification system and intelligent sensors. The business travelers a whole floor, the Madame Li floor, is dedicated to rooms equipped with special amenities such as a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer and a lounge reserved for this clientele.
At the same time, an Executive Lounge is designed for all VIP customers and has a 270-degree view of the city from the top floor of the hotel. In terms of catering, the Radisson Collection, Xing Guo Shanghai offers four restaurants and bars, including a Chinese restaurant with an emphasis on Cantonese cuisine and Shanghai specialties, as well as a chic lounge for inventive cocktails.
For business customers, the hotel has several places reserved for meetings and events for a capacity of 1,000 people: the Villa Eight Conference Center, 360 m2, the Li pavilion and the Villa One Hazelwood. A total of eight meeting rooms, including a boardroom for 12 people and a large ballroom that can accommodate 180 people, the gardens also being suitable for high-end events.
This Shanghai premiere will be followed, in the second quarter of 2021, by a second hotel in China, the Radisson Collection Resort, Nanjing. Other brand establishments are also planned in Paris, Milan, Budapest and Venice in Europe, as well as in Cairo, Sri Lanka and Queenstown, New Zealand.
