Pertalite type of fuel oil (BBM) remaining for 15 days. Meanwhile, the queue of motorists to fill subsidized fuel did not subside.
However, according to BPH Migas Committee Member Saleh Abdurrahman, this figure is actually still in a safe condition.
“The stock stability that I conveyed was as of July, this is according to the report we received from Pertalite for more than 15 days and Pertamax for 21 days. The 20-day problem means that in general our fuel at the terminal is in safe condition as of July 30, 2022,” Saleh said in the broadcast. CNBC Indonesia Energy Corner, quoted Monday (1/8/2022).

Saleh explained that the fuel quota had been discussed with Commission VII and Pertamina. BPH Migas conveyed a projected increase in the pace of economic activity which will also boost fuel consumption.
While the increase in the fuel quota is the government’s domain, BPH Migas’ position is waiting for a decision regarding the addition or tightening of consumption.
On the other hand, BPH Migas invites the public to use non-subsidized fuel and at the same time save money.
“So people can be more efficient in fuel consumption in the midst of current global and domestic conditions and we are trying to synergize with the Ministry to use public transportation as an option for people to use BBM,” he explained.
Saleh added that it is hoped that the vehicles used for public transportation will not be disturbed by this fuel condition. Including for the commercial sector and similar sectors.
However, individual consumers who use four wheels are directed to use non-subsidized fuel.
“So the use of fuel is expected to be productive and then people can be more efficient in using subsidized fuel, if it is non-subsidized, go ahead,” said Saleh.
