TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com – Congestion Traffic flow of up to almost three kilometers occurred on Jalan Raya Ciater, Serpong, Friday (2/10/2020) night.
Congestion occurs as a result of queues of consumer vehicles that take turns in drive thru to order food at a fast food restaurant McDonald’s the area.
Kasatlantas Polres South Tangerang AKP Bayu Marfiando confirmed this congestion traffic flow in the area.
He said, consumers crowded McD Ciater because of their existence discounts offered by these fast food restaurants.

“Indeed the most crowded Ciater. Because the road is narrow, there is a line that leads to McD because there is a promo, “he told Kompas.com, Friday (2/10/2020).
Currently, he continued, his party had coordinated with the management to temporarily stop the queue so as not to disrupt traffic flow.
“The queue is temporary we broke up first, we will continue to pull it to avoid congestion. We are working closely with management,” he said.
According to him, traffic congestion due to fast food restaurants does not only occur in Ciater. But also at several other points such as on the road around McDonald’s Alam Sutra and BSD Plaza.
Now traffic jams at these locations are being handled by each police station.
“The three locations did experience long queues, but personnel have been put in place to make arrangements so as not to disturb other traffic flows too much,” he concluded.
