“The Queens” from Linz is the best musical of 2024

For the fourth time, the award, which has been awarded every year since 2014, went to the capital of Upper Austria for “Best Music”. In 2017, the Linz premiere “Around the World in 80 Days” was the winner with six awards, in 2019 “The Hare with the Amber Eyes” received four awards and in 2021 “The Wave” took home five awards.

“‘The Queens’ was one of our biggest projects in recent years, and we are happy that this project, which we started almost four years ago with Henry Mason and Thomas Zaufke , such a welcome on the German music scene,” said the delighted music director Matthias Davids in a broadcast from the State Theater on Tuesday.
