The most popular and influential artist today, pop queen Taylor Swift, is currently traveling the world with the most successful concert tour of all time: The Eras Tour.
The tour started in Glendale, USA, on March 17 last year and will end in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8 this year.
The shows are almost “Springsteen” in length, 3.5 hours, with an impressive 44 songs per night. Swift is expected to pull in a staggering 2 billion dollars (about 22 billion kroner) during the course of the tour.
Swift will come to the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm on May 17, 18 and 19 this year, while both Denmark and Norway unfortunately have to sit out this round.
What’s extra special about this year’s tour is not that Swift has produced a concert film from the tour, but that she’s released the film while the tour is in progress. The film had its American premiere on October 12 last year.
Now come all the millions”swifties” out there soon to be able to stream it in your own living room – the movie “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” will be released on Disney+ on 15 mars.
The song “Cardigan” and four acoustic songs, which were not included in the VOD or theatrical version from the worldwide tour, are also featured in the popular film.
The film is directed by Sam Wrench and will show the groundbreaking concert in its entirety.
Commenting on the news, Disney CEO Bob Iger says
