Leaders of the national and popular camp came out to support Cristina Kirchner’s candidacy to lead the Justicialista Party (PJ).
In this context, the national representative for the Province of Buenos Aires Agustina Propato stated that she was “very happy” with this decision and maintained that the former vice president “transcended Kirchnerism.”
“I believe that, with this card specifically, we are faced with a scenario that, on a chess board, the queen moves strategically and changes the entire situation up to this point. I am very happy with the expression of the card, in line with what posed based on the challenges we have from Peronism. Cristina transcended Kirchnerism, she falls from maturity. From Perón to here, the Government that clearly created Peronism were the periods of Néstor and Cristina,” Propato said in dialogue with 750.
“It seems to me that what is happening in Peronism with this decision by Cristina to assume this historical responsibility is simple, and is simply making transparent a situation that all of us who are Peronists can recognize: she has the legitimacy of the facts, the legitimacy of the history, the legitimacy of the trajectory and the sentence on the entire group of colleagues in the world of Peronism,” remarked the deputy.
And he added: “Her decision is very generous and speaks of a Cristina who takes the marshal’s baton, puts a tourniquet on what was happening within Peronism and says that we have to review certain behaviors of Peronism and who takes the lead to lead this process.”
“We need not only to think about the spring of Peronism to once again build a space that can contest power, to carry out the political project that we dream of and that we know Argentina needs,” Propato stated.
“The only thing they talk about in the popular neighborhoods is that with Cristina we were better”
In the same sense, the Buenos Aires senator María Teresa García responded by number 750 to the Peronist leaders who intend to retire Cristina Kirchner in the midst of the rearming of the Justicialist Party in view of the 2025 elections.
“Fortunately, Cristina is a candidate. We were thinking about that possibility. What needs to be ordered, as she said, is the Peronism that went astray,” García said.
“The only person, and I say this with sincerity, that I believe has the ability to reorder Peronism is Cristina. It is not an easy task. It is proposed to discuss underlying issues: the issue of education, health, debt and the labor system. These are things that Peronism has not debated for years,” he added.
“For the Peronists it is a huge joy that Cristina has made the decision”
This Monday, the national senator of Unión por la Patria (UxP) Mariano Recalde met with Cristina Kirchner at the Instituto Patria.
“(We talked) about how to straighten the PJ with everyone inside so that it once again becomes an alternative government in Argentina,” said the president of the Buenos Aires PJ, interviewed on 750.
“Cristina, with that extensive letter, made a call to all of us who are part of Peronism, to all those who want a strong, united Peronism that straightens out and is clear about the proposal and what it represents, something that was diluted in the last Government: political sovereignty and economic independence as two flags that Peronism raises must be translated with a good agreement with the IMF or a clear position regarding the debt that Macri put us in,” he indicated.
“What Cristina is doing is calling on everyone to not only join for the sake of joining, but to discuss a program and the identity of Peronism, what it represents. It is an enormous challenge. Cristina is, once again, in the place where she needs to be. and contributing so that the people do well. For the Peronists it is a great joy that Cristina has made the decision to play, to take the lead,” he added.
On the other hand, Recalde participated in the launch of the Peronist Month at the headquarters of the Buenos Aires Justicialist Party.
“We have ahead of us a process of renewal of authorities of the Justicialista Party and it is a great opportunity” and added that “from this place I want to tell you that I celebrate and I am very happy that Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has taken the lead in rebuilding the Peronism, to summon each and every one of the Peronists who want a fair, free and sovereign Argentina,” he highlighted.
“We want a Peronism that defends public health, that defends education, that puts itself at the forefront of social demands and that makes the Homeland great and the people happy. We are sure that it is on the side of Peronism,” concluded Recalde before a Party full of members who burst into applause.
Also present were the first vice president of the Party, “Kelly” Olmos; the 2nd vice president, Jorge Meneses; the 3rd vice president, Silvia Gottero; the 4th vice president, Juan Manuel Abal Medina and the secretary of culture of the PJ CABA, Carlos Benítez.
