The Quebec series for teenagers and young adults won a prize in the category Drama at the Telly Awards in New York on May 24.
The choral series – whose title in English becomes Intitled – scooped this category award Drama tied with the American series Two Sentence Horror Stories, during the 43e edition of the Telly Awards. These annually honor excellence in television and video, for all screens. More than 12,000 project applications from all over the world are submitted to it each year.
Produced by Zone 3, this six-episode series features several young Quebec actors who have had the wind in their sails on our screens for a while. Among them, Alex Godbout (District 31, The blue Hour, CLASH; the film Norbourg)Levi Dore (Chaos, Black Beast, Lou and Sophie) and Chanel Mings (We).
The dramatic miniseries shot in Montreal and written by Marie-Hélène Lapierre and Justine Philie – which has been compared to American series Riverdale, Sex Education et Never Have I Ever – addresses important topics of adolescence, including the abuse of power existing in high schools, privilege, non-heteronormativity and sexual consent.
The series, which was also a finalist at the Content Innovation Awards 2021 in London, was purchased in Finland, France and Belgium. In addition, she is nominated for the Rockie Awards at the Banff International Media Festival 2022, which will be held on June 13, in the category Live Action: Youth (11-17).
