The Minister of Labor, Hassan Shehata, stressed the depth of Egyptian-Qatari relations, that the president’s visit fits into the framework of the Egyptian state’s interest in strengthening relations with Arab countries, which reflects Egypt’s enthusiasm to bring Arab brothers together and reflecting the enthusiasm of the two countries to discuss regional issues, as part of concerted Arab efforts to address regional challenges.
The meeting of the Minister of Labor with the Minister of Labor of Qatar discussed the conditions of Egyptian workers in Qatar and the desire of the Qatar side to increase the state share of that workforce, noting that prior to the organization of the World Cup, the state workers needed in the field of construction and procurement, and after the World Cup, the state’s labor needs will vary and supply will be provided The Egyptian Ministry of Labor provides new required fields in the Qatari labor market.
The Qatari Minister of Labor expressed his desire to continue cooperation with the Egyptian side, especially after the President’s visit to Qatar, underlining that the Egyptian workforce is among the most skilled in the world.
