In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about “purple screen of death” of Twitch, or that message that appears to those who watch live streaming with an activated ADBlock or not directly from the site or app of the Amazon service. You will surely have met him here on Multiplayer.it during our live shows. Instead of limiting the moments in which this screen appears, it seems that Twitch has extended the action of this message, which now could appear even in those video games which incorporate a player.
For example in the latter within the PUBG client it is possible to notice the “Purple Screen of Death“on the huge Jumbotron positioned within the game to convey all the emotions of the PUBG Global Invitational, one of the most important esports events of the competitive battle royale season.
Instead of seeing match esports, however, players found themselves faced with the infamous message which, of course, generated some reactions quite colorful by the gaming community and, we imagine, also at Bluehole.
This initiative by Amazon / Twitch will continue to be discussed, however, this intransigence and these own goals are likely to soon become boomerang for the platform, since it also ruins the work of many esports teams, but also of charitable initiatives such as Tiltfy.
