As the representatives of the Puppet Theater informed “Delfi”, such a decision has taken place because the Small Hall of the Latvian Puppet Theater has been closed since the beginning of the season until the reconstruction of the building began, therefore it is necessary to look for an additional playground. In cooperation with the RTGS and the Ministry of Culture, a solution was found for the creation of a temporary hall in the RTGS Fireplace Hall, which will be the permanent small playground of the theater for at least two years.
The fireplace hall has a capacity of 110 seats, but due to restrictions, there are currently 60 seats available for spectators, divided into groups of two, three or four people. From this weekend, such performances as “Salātlapiņa” (LV), “A kid who could count to ten” (LV, RUS), “Three piglets and a wolf” (LV, RUS), will move to the new premises at 13 Merkela Street. Knight with sore teeth “(LV),” Tuntuļu Jurītis “(LV),” Makss un Morics “(LV),” Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf “(LV, RUS),” A Tale about Diegabiksi “(LV, RUS),” A kitten named “Wow” (RUS), “Fox Sweater” (RUS), “Thumb” (RUS) and “Princess on a Pea” (RUS).
According to the representatives of the Puppet Theater, the October and November repertoire is currently available for sale. Tickets for the Fireplace Hall performances are sold online and at all “Biļešu paradīze” box offices. Representatives of the theater emphasize that tickets will not be sold in the Society’s house before the start of the performance, because the box office is not available there. On October 3, the new hall will be opened by Viesturs Roziņš’s show “Salātlapiņa”, which in 2018/2019 was nominated for the “Players’ Night” award in the category “Children’s show of the year”, the director of the show Viesturs Roziņš – in the category “Director of the Year”, “- in the category” Author of the musical score of the year “.
Simultaneously with the Fireplace Hall, performances will also continue in the Great Hall of the Latvian Puppet Theater, located at 16/18 K. Barona Street. The two halls are a few minutes ’walk away.
