The Puerto Rican film Simone, directed by Betty Kaplan and starring Esai Morales and Kunjue Li, will premiere on September 29 in various theaters in Puerto Rico. Simone, which was written by the Puerto Rican Eduardo Lalo and winner of the prestigious international literary award Rómulo Gallegos 2013, was adapted for the big screen by the director. The Berklee College of Music and Columbia University graduate will be presenting the world premiere of his new music for the film Simone as part of the Hollywood Magic Concert with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra.

The concert will be conducted by renowned Hollywood music director Ángel Vélez and John Williams composer and orchestrator Corad Pope. This event, which will take place on August 7 at the Pablo Casals Symphonic Hall of Fine Arts in Santurce, will begin at 7:00 pm.
