The Public Prosecution interrogated the accused, and he admitted that he injected the victim with the aforementioned drugs after he underwent a medical examination and measured his temperature – without being licensed to practice either of the two professions. Human medicine and pharmacy – and accordingly, the Public Prosecution decided to detain him pending investigations, which are being completed.
This, and the Public Prosecution Office indicates that such an incident has occurred more than once in the recent period, and controversy has been raised about it before, until the competent institutions issued decisions to regulate the issue of injections inside pharmacies and state their conditions. In order to avoid the occurrence of such tragedies, and that the Public Prosecution Office has initiated a lawsuit in a similar case that occupied public opinion in Alexandria, in which the judiciary ruled the conviction of the two accused, as the Public Prosecution demanded and concluded in its investigations.
Therefore, the Public Prosecution Office calls for putting aside the controversy surrounding these issues, and not delving into the discussions it raises about the rights and duties in which the judicial rulings ended up with a decisive statement in their statement, which is that the injection is not entitled except for those who are qualified for it, and those who are authorized to do so. To avoid complications and effects that may lead to death.
The Public Prosecution reiterates and stresses the need to completely refrain from injecting patients in violation of the laws and decisions that regulate it, and in places other than the designated places, and from those who are not specialized in it. This is in order to preserve the lives of the patients, and to quickly rectify them with treatment in the event of complications, especially since the reality has shown that many non-specialists practiced the specializations of the professions of human medicine and pharmacy, and some specialists allowed them to do so, which led to tampering with the lives of people and many of them are children, which is what The Public Prosecution Office will deal with it firmly, and will pursue its perpetrators with all the deterrent legal measures authorized by the law.
