The Public Library arrives at the Mayor’s Office facilities to inspire progress through books

  • The Reading Promoter will be present from October 9 to 18 on the first floor of the Manizales Mayor’s Office.

This week, the Manizales Public Library arrives at the Mayor’s Office facilities, in an initiative organized by the Public Library Network of the Secretariats of Culture and Civics and Administrative Services. The purpose of the day is to spread the importance of reading as an engine of progress for the city and to promote its practice among municipal officials.

From October 9 to 18, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. will be done Dissemination Day on the first floor of the Mayor’s Office, where officials will be able to learn about everything the Library Network has to offer, discover its spaces and programs and be part of a new reading club exclusively for Mayor’s officials.

“We are holding a day to disseminate the city’s public library network. “We want the Mayor’s Office officials to know where the libraries are located so that they can approach them and also know the key to knowledge, how they can access the external loan of books.” expressed the Reading Promoter of the Manizales Public Library Network, Gloria Elena Londoño Gómez.

During the day, attendees will also learn about the external book loan system, known as “The key to knowledge”which will allow them to access a wide variety of titles available in the city’s libraries.

With initiatives like this, culture and access to knowledge in our city are strengthened, it is demonstrated that the promotion of reading begins from the Mayor’s Office itself. We invite all citizens to take advantage of the spaces created for personal and collective growth and to join the commitment to promote the progress of Manizales through reading and education.
