The main discipline is of course applying 3M (wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands), then a healthy lifestyle, such as regular rest, consuming fruits and vegetables, and exercising to increase endurance.

This healthy lifestyle is recommended by experts even though the Covid-19 vaccine has arrived.

Ede Surya Darmawan, Chairperson of the Indonesian Public Health Expert Association (IAKMI), said that basically implementing a clean and healthy living protocol is not necessary because during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was also implemented after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Everywhere, we have to adopt a clean and healthy life, starting from wearing masks, washing hands, keeping our distance. The hope is that we all work together to make the community healthy,” he said in a Productive Dialogue with the theme Destroying COVID-19 with Vaccines, 3M Discipline and Healthy Living. , was held by the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery last week.

The economic loss of society if infected with Covid-19 will be very expensive, the reason is that security in the care of COVID-19 patients is very high, this is so that health workers do not become infected so that health services use special protective equipment, then the treatment room sometimes when symptoms develop moderate or heavy needs a special room with high costs, so it is natural that the cost of treating Covid-19 is an average of Rp. 184 million.

The government has also made various preventive efforts to stop the spread of Covid-19 and reduce the economic losses it causes, including presenting the Covid-19 vaccine.

Vaccines as an effective public health intervention have been proven for a long time. Since 1956 Indonesia has succeeded in eliminating several infectious diseases through immunization programs.
