With 100% of the votes counted, the PSOE takes over the mayoralty again of Alcalá de Guadaíra, obtaining 11,458 votes and 11 councilors (one more than in 2019), compared to 6,462 votes and six PP councilors.
Vox gets 4,492 votes and four councilors, while Alcalá matters to us and UA gets two councilors each.
More of 75,000 people were summoned this Sunday to elect the 25 councilors that make up the local corporation of Alcalá de Guadaíra, with which the absolute majority stands at 13 councilors.
The Mayor and candidate for the PSOE, Ana Isabel Jiménez, stayed in the last 2019 elections three councilors from reaching an absolute majority, having achieved ten councilors. The second political force in the city was Adelante four years ago, which had four councilors, while the formations of PP, Cs and Vox achieved three councilors each. The last two representatives in the Consistory were for Andalucía por Sí.
In these elections are ocho the political formations that participated in the elections in Alcalá de Guadaíra. Thus, the PP submitted a list headed by Esau Perez; Cs, with Rosa María Carro; Vox, with Evaristo Tellez as head of list; Andalusia for Yes-Andalusian Union (UA), with María Dolores Aquino; with Andalusia (Podemos-Iniciativa del Pueblo Andaluz-Los Verdes de Andalucía-Alianza Verde), led by Raul Gallardo Blanco; y Alcalá matters to us with a list topped Jose Luis Roldan.
The local government of Alcala de Guadaira is run from the May 13, 2016 by the socialist Ana Isabel Jiménez Contreras. The former councilor for Culture of the government of Antonio Gutierrez Limones and provincial deputy took over the baton of the Alcalá City Council as the representative proposed by the most voted list in the municipal elections of May 2015 and after the resignation of Gutiérrez Limones, when he was included in the list to Congress and elected deputy.

In the municipal elections of May 28, 2019the socialist candidacy headed by Ana Isabel Jiménez achieved ten councilors -one more than the PSOE had in 2015- compared to the four that obtained Adelante; while the PP, Cs and Vox each obtained three mayors; and both for Andalucía por Sí. The socialist mayor was only three councilors away from achieving an absolute majority.
Since the first municipal elections in 1979, the PSOE has always been the candidate with the most votes and the only party that has come to direct the local government in Alcalá de Guadaíra. Up to five mayors have passed through the command chair of the Alcalá City Council.
