The PSOE of Cádiz has submitted more than 200 amendments to the framework presentation that will be discussed at the 41st Federal Congress of the PSOE, which will be held in Seville between November 29 and December 1, 2024. The 32 delegates from Cádiz, led by the general secretary of the PSOE of Cádiz, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, met at the provincial headquarters to approve and consolidate the proposals with the that aim to collect and highlight the singularities of the province in the national conclave.
The Cádiz amendments, the product of debates in the different municipal groups of the PSOE in the province, aim to enrich the document entitled ‘Spain 2030. A socialism that advances, a Spain that leads’, with which the PSOE seeks to renew its project to the next four years. These more than 200 amendments address both the external objectives of the party and the proposals for internal reforms in the relationship with members and in the statutes. Of all of these, approximately 50 are aimed at regulatory reforms, while the rest focus on various thematic areas of the base document.
From the provincial leadership of the PSOE of Cádiz, special emphasis has been placed on highlighting the strategic sectors of the Bay of Cádiz, such as the Navantia shipyards and the aerospace industry, in collaboration with Airbus and its auxiliary companies. Furthermore, the Cádiz PSOE underlines the importance of supporting the primary sector, key to the province’s economy, and has requested greater recognition of the leather sector in Ubrique and the Sierra, where 80% of leather goods production is concentrated. from Andalusia.

In addition to these contributions, the Cádiz general secretary, with his experience as mayor of San Roque, has put proposals on the table that address the housing problem. In this sense, Ruiz Boix suggests a reform in the Land Law that allows for the streamlining of urban projects and simplifies the licensing procedures for public or affordable housing. According to their proposal, promoters should be required to develop urban projects in the same area or sector, in addition to reserving the current 30% of land for protected housing, the simultaneous construction of officially protected housing.
