The spokesman for the municipal socialist group in the Badajoz city council, Ricardo Cabezas, criticized “so much municipal ineffectiveness” and accused the PP and C of governing the city “without direction”, “without a program” and “without a project” .
Thus, he invited the mayor, Ignacio Gragera, and the PP to resolve “immediately” the wage conflict with Local Police and officials, a budget for 2023, activate twenty projects and put an end to the “bad vibrations between them”. “the loser is Badajoz”.
Cabezas showed his concern for the “contradictions and inconsistencies” of the mayor and the PP, since “between them there is only hostility, rudeness, distrust and veiled attacks”. For this reason, and in his opinion, at this moment “there is no co-government” but “two parallel municipal administrations and what they do not want is to share votes”.
“Time has shown that they are not reliable partners, that at this moment neither the PP nor Ciudadanos have a program to develop and, even worse, they have shown that they do not have a city project,” he stressed.
Ricardo Cabezas thus expressed his concern for the “current indecision” and the “difficulty they have in understanding what is happening in the city”, for which he asked for an end to the “confusion” and “bad vibrations between them”.
In this sense Cabezas asked about the salary contract that PP and CS have signed with the Local Police and, specifically, at what point it is and if there is already a report from the technicians who endorse it.
He also inquired about the official’s claim who said so in September. “We are on October 17 and as far as I know nothing has been resumed. Another question in the drawer of the forgotten problems. I ask you to tell the truth and to inform us now if this pending question will come back into discussion or the officials, all, will have to stay with a notch of the nose, “said Ricardo Cabezas, who wonders if this is how the mayor solves municipal problems.
The Badajoz PSOE also exposed that while other administrations prepare the budget for next year, the municipal government team “has no intention”.
“What PP and Citizens ask at the regional level on the annual budget of the Junta de Extremadura does not apply to Badajoz”, the socialist leader denounced.
So Cabezas elaborated that “the safest thing” is that there will be no budget for next year and, in this sense, the PSOE has criticized the mayor for having looked at the budgets of other administrations and while he “steals the debate in house do not start the process in time “.
For this Ricardo Cabezas asked him about “more than twenty pending projects”, many of which “should already be started”, such as the expropriations of Eugenio Hermoso, the purchase of lots in El Pico, the project for the Conventual de San Juan , the action in Calle Encarnación, the urbanization of Plaza Santa María, the renovation of the football field in La Picuriña and others.
