A new Sony patent suggests that in PlayStation 5 we will use DualSense controllers quickly and efficiently.


Sony has patented another feature, which will probably be implemented in the PlayStation 5. This time the corporation winked in the direction of people who do not like when the battery in their controller is round zero, and they have at least two pads on their shelf.

Until now, when we noticed a low battery message in the DualShock 4, we had to connect the currently used pad to the charger, and take the one that had been connected to the cable for the last time. Such a “maneuver” required a minimum of a minute, because using the console interface, we had to disconnect the currently used controller from the account in order to be able to connect the newly attached DS4 to the profile. This time we will not have to do that, because Sony will allow you to quickly switch between the pads.

As soon as we receive the low battery message, we will be able to switch immediately to the paired second DualSense. This is what the Sony patent looks like:
