Last weekend, another edition of Summer Games Done Quick took place, during which one of the players showed his skills in mastering the refreshed version of Demon’s Souls. BertoPlease completed production much faster because it used the unique features of PlayStation 5.
Speedruner regularly used activity cards to quickly move to selected locations – it is a much faster way of transport than the classic teleport. The event organizers and community jokingly referred to the technique as “pay-2-win” (PS Plus required), and two categories were included in the ranking for the completion of the demanding title – with or without PlayStation Plus features. By choosing to use the unique PlayStation 5 option, you can shorten the game time by a few minutes.
While playing BertoPlease also uses the function of switching game modes (30 fps or 60 fps), to change the detection of the environment and even run one of the locations quickly – the indicated procedure shortened the speedrun by 6 minutes.
Below, check out the gameplay with Summer Games Done Quick and the current world record, during which the capabilities of PlayStation 5 were used. However, for several inadvertent deaths, the last event did not end with an improvement in the best result.
