At the beginning of the summer he actively went voices that Rockstar Games is preparing a new update for Red Dead Redemption 2 specifically for next generation consoles. Apparently, the western will never get a native version for PS5 and Xbox Series X. According to a reputable insider with the nickname PereaAdrien, the developers have made the decision to completely cancel the release of the game’s visual enhancement.
If before the release of the Red Dead Redemption 2 update for PS5 and Xbox Series X was in limbo, now its development has been completely curtailed. The team has decided not to pursue an improved version of the game. It also means that Rockstar Games is likely to further cancel support for RDR Online.
What is the reason for this decision of the developers is not reported. Probably the low popularity of Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode and the recent one break in hackers forced the studio to change its priorities.
