The Przybysz sisters – Natalia and Paulina are joining forces!
“Stan pogoda” has just hit the web – a refreshed version of Anna Jurksztowicz’s hit from the 80s. The song announces the premiere of the animated film “Smok Diplodoku” directed by Wojtek Wawszczyk.
Natalia and Paulina Przybysz are sisters, artists active on the music scene for over 20 years, known among others from the band Sistars. Currently, both focused on their solo projects. As a duet, they decided to refresh the great hit of the 80s entitled “Stan pogoda”, performed at that time by Anna Jurksztowicz. The modern version of the song, to which the music was written by Krzesimir Dębski, and the lyrics by Jacek Cygan – has just hit streaming services.
The cover of the song “Stan pogoda” was created on the occasion of the premiere of the animated film “Smok Diplodok” directed by Wojtek Wawszczyk. It is the first Polish film of this genre – made on such a grand scale. Based on the cult comics by Tadeusz Baranowski and with a star cast – Borys Szyc, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Arkadiusz Jakubik and Mikołaj Wachowski – a 10-year-old actor, conquering the world of dubbing. “Smok Diplodok” is a manifestation of great power of imagination and faith in one’s own abilities, it is a story full of humor about the adventures of Diplodok. Premiere in cinemas – October 4.
Natalia Przybysz:
I know someone who really likes the original “Stan pogoda” – he is someone important to me. I often fall in love with songs in this way. I am glad that I could take part in the project and sing with Paulina again.
We also recorded a very holiday-like video. I liked this time in the meadow and the Vistula beach. There was a lot of fooling around, and for me it always brings me back to childhood fun with my sister.
Paulina Przybysz:
The word “diplodocus” appeared somewhere in the language of the older generation, but the character of this dragon was never familiar to me. After receiving the comic and entering this crazy world of the author, I felt that it was a mission similar to singing jazz standards. Extending the life of valuable works through generations always makes sense.
It was good to sing the song with Natalia – our voices always sound natural together. There is a magic to it that is nice to come back to.
A video clip directed by Bartosz Mieloch was created for the song. In addition to shots of Natalia and Paulina Przybysz, the clip uses fragments of the film “Diplodok the Dragon”.
Młode Horyzonty is responsible for the distribution of the film.
