The contest will have the presence of Pueblo Nuevo and Racing. The Olavarrienses teams will share the area with Independiente de Tandil and SMATA de Mar del Plata.
On Thursday the first meeting was held for a new edition of the Provincial League of Senior Clubs, which will begin on May 14.
The basketball contest will be attended by two teams from Olavarriense, Racing and Pueblo Nuevo. The representatives of the city will integrate Zone 3, together with Independiente de Tandil and SMATA de Mar del Plata.
This first phase will be played back and forth all against all, each team completing 6 games. The first two of each Zone will qualify for the second phase, while the third and fourth of each one will finish their participation in the competition.
In the second phase there will be eight teams, divided into two zones. The first two of Zones 1 and 2 will make up one, while the first two of Zones 3 and 4 will be part of the other zone. Here there will also be a roundtrip all against all, to complete another 6 matches each team. From here, the first two will be classified, who will have their place in the Final Four, provided that the health situation allows the completion of this format.
It should be noted that the first two phases of this competition will be carried out with local referees. In addition, the broader Good Faith Lists, taking into account possible or isolated COVID-19 cases. A reserve list will also be implemented, in which each club will put its own players who are on loan in the Federal, TNA or National League tournament. When they finish their participation in these competitions they will be able to play again in their home club.
