The provinces of Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra are on orange alert due to rain

The Directorate General for Emergencies and Interior of the Second Vice Presidency of the Xunta has activated the orange alert for rain in the center and south of the province of Lugo; in the south, northwest and Mio de Ourense; and throughout the province of Pontevedra.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the orange level adverse weather phenomenon will begin in the last hours of this Saturday with a 12-hour accumulated precipitation of 80mm.

The provinces of A Corua and Pontevedra have been on yellow alert since midday, and those of Lugo and Ourense will be on yellow alert from mid-afternoon, with accumulated rainfall that can reach 50 mm in 12 hours and 15 mm in one hour. .

As for the wind, an orange-level adverse meteorological phenomenon affects Maria de Lugo and west of A Corua, with gusts up to 100 km/h.

In the rest of the province of A Corua and in that of Pontevedra, as well as in the mountains and in the center of Lugo, there is a yellow level with gusts that can reach 90 km/h.
