Fernando Simón, director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, announced in a press conference, together with the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, progress in the de-escalation that some territories will make next Monday, June 1.
In addition to some territories that go from phase 1 to phase 2, there are four islands that premiere phase 3 de-escalation: Formentera, La Gomera, La Graciosa and El Hierro, the territories that have gone ahead in the lack of refinement and that are approaching the “new normal”.
These are the changes announced by the Government from Monday, June 1:
Zones that go from phase 1 to phase 2
-Catalonia: the health area of central Catalonia, the province of Girona and Alt Penedès i El Garraf.
-Valencian Community
-Andalusia: Malaga and Granada.
-Castilla la Mancha: Albacete, Ciudad Real and Toledo.
-Castilla y León: the El Bierzo health area (includes the Bierzo and Laciana regions).
-Murcia: the municipality of Totana.
Zones that go from phase 2 to phase 3
-Canary Islands: La Gomera, El Hierro and La Graciosa.
-Balearic Islands: Formentera.
Territories that do not advance in de-escalation
There are other territories that they will not advance this week in the de-escalation, so they will remain, at least for seven more days, in the same phase.
This is the case of the Community of Madrid, still in phase 1, and most of Catalonia. Other areas that are in phase 2: Aragón, Cantabria, Navarra, Extremadura, La Rioja, Galicia, Region of Murcia, Asturias, the Basque Country, Ceuta and Melilla will also be in the phase in which they currently are for another week.
