The province of Cádiz adds 456 new cases of COVID-19 | Radio Cádiz

The province of Cádiz has added 456 new cases of COVID-19 today, substantially increasing the figures of the previous days. Once the new positives have been counted after the change of year, the total is now 32,192 accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic in the province. Cádiz is the second Andalusian for new cases, only behind the province of Malaga, which has 503.

The data is known hours after the Board yesterday decreed the perimeter closure of the eight municipalities integrated in the sanitary areas of Campo de Gibraltar East and West, given the increase to 316 cases of the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days in that area, and the proliferation of cases linked to the British strain of Covid-19 in Gibraltar.

According to the balance released by the SAS, in the last 24 hours there have been 4 more deaths in the province, so that the total number of people killed by the pandemic is now 565.

The Cadiz hospital network currently serves 171 patients, 34 of which are in Intensive Care Units.
