The American film “Airport Passenger Terminal” is adapted from the personal experience of Mehran Karimi Nasseri, an Iranian man who lived at Paris-Charles de Gaulle International Airport for 18 years. He died at the same airport last Saturday (12) at the age of 76.
Nasseri was born in Iran in 1945 to an Iranian father and a British mother. He went to study in the UK in 1975, returned home and was imprisoned for protesting against the government, then deported without a passport and stuck in Terminal 1 of Charles de Gaulle International Airport from 1988 to 2006, thus becoming famous.
