The Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes of Corruption of Officials (Fourth Office) directed the search procedure for seizure purposes in the home of the former Urban Development Manager of the District Municipality of Paucarpata, Verónica Luz Cruz Sulla, located in the district of Alto Selva Cheerful.
During the operation – carried out within the framework of an investigation for the alleged crime of aggravated collusion and incompatible negotiation – USD 119,233 and S/ 21,000 were seized that were hidden in the bedroom of the person under investigation.
According to the tax investigation, between November and December 2022, Cruz Sulla —when she was working as an official of the aforementioned commune— would have guaranteed that suppliers in charge of the work ‘Cover construction at the Campo de Marte multisports complex’ present, to the resident of the work, letters informing of the completion of this work with photographs and false signatures.
During the investigation, led by prosecutor Mery Ofelia Bellido Marroquín, stamps, diaries, records of bank deposits, cell phones, documents and other elements that will be used for the investigation were seized.
