/ world today news/ The accusation of taking out millions in sacks from the Corporate Commercial Bank was dropped, said lawyer Hristo Botev, defender of the deputy chief accountant of KTB Borislava Treneva – Kyuchukova.
The lawyer made this comment before the Sofia City Court considered the remand order for those accused of defrauding KTB, reported a BGNES reporter. Four people are accused – Borislava Treneva, Maria Dimova, chief accountant, KTB executive director Orlin Rusev and the bank’s cashier Margarita Petrova.
Rusev and Petrova are accused of embezzlement, and Dimova and Treneva – as helpers, explained lawyer Botev. According to the new version of the prosecutor’s office, from the end of 2011 to June 19, 2014, Rusev and Petrova gradually siphoned off funds from KTB, and the cashiers helped them to cover the traces. According to Botev, there is no evidence for this version and it is based solely on the testimony of the former partner of Tsvetan Vassilev – Biser Lazov.
