Prosecutor ask The Karasai district akimat invalidated the sale of a plot of land to Novikov‘s company. It is clarified that the lawsuit was filed on October 10. Novikov told the publication that the dispute is not related to the land, but to the River Poganka flowing on the land. He could not give details, and said that there would be a trial on October 31, where everything would be clear.

On Wednesday, October 23, the sports and entertainment center “Baganashyl”, whose manager is a retired major general, published video of staff talking to the president Kasym-Jomartu Tokaevu. They express disagreement with the application of the prosecutor’s office and ask for help from the head of state.

The staff of the International Association of Clubs note that the organization has been with them for 20 years. Plots of land are used for their intended purpose; port of Almaty is grown on them for sale. In total, the group owns 832 hectares of land in the foothills of southeast Almaty; apples and pears are grown on 100 hectares. The remaining land is empty.

Novikov before there were assistant to the former mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhana Yesimova (2008-1015) in sports. He bought the land in 2004 for 25 million tenge. In the summer of 2023, the prosecutor’s office announced an investigation of this land, but “did not reveal any violations.”

Last August, the Economic Court of Almaty decidedthat Novikov’s company illegally owns 30 hectares, which does not belong to the above area. According to the prosecutor’s office, she received this plot from akimat in Karasai district, but she did not pay 1.1 million tenge at the cadastral value.
