Defendant Come on Thalia sentenced to 6 months in prison with 10 months probation in the case of defamation of the child Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), Nicholas Sean. Ayu Thalia doesn’t need to go to jail. Prosecutors said they were considering an appeal.
“Think about it, Your Honor,” said the Public Prosecutor (JPU) during the trial, at the North Jakarta District Court, Thursday (12/1/2023).
Separately, Ayu Thalia’s lawyer, Ahmad Ramzy, appreciated the halim’s decision, which was not much different from the demands of the prosecutor. According to him, this decision proves that Ayu Thalia is guilty.
“The meaning is not much different from the charges even though there was a trial. However, we appreciate the meaning of what we and Nico reported. It is proven that the defendant Ayu Thalia committed defamation or slander against Nicholas,” said Ramzy.
Ramzy said that Ayu Thalia’s decision to prove guilty had fulfilled her sense of justice.
“Yes, for us whatever the verdict, for us, after being found guilty, Ayu Thalia has fulfilled our sense of justice,” said Ramzy.
