“60% of French people do not know what a low emission zone is. It was not a question of launching a referendum on the very principle that we approve but on the method, the methods of support and the temporality so that this EPZ does not become a Zone with High Exclusion ”, deplores the group Inventer la métropole of tomorrow. And to add: “We felt that several groups of the majority were uncomfortable beyond the remarks made so as not to take the risk of angering the majority EELV and the choices of the greens which are imposed on them. This uneasiness was clearly shown in the result of the vote. “
As a reminder, all diesel vehicles that do not have a Crit’Air 0 or 1 sticker will no longer be able to circulate in the heart of the Lyon metropolitan area in 2026. The community has also launched a public consultation on the subject on the 3 September.
