The new electricity rate that came into force on Tuesday, June 1, is being one of the great topics of conversation in recent days and an inexhaustible source of jokes on social networks.

According to the new rate, the most expensive section will be from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00; the intermediate section, from 8:00 to 10:00 hours; between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and from 10:00 p.m. to 00:00 a.m. and the cheapest will be at dawn, from 00:00 to 8:00, Monday through Friday, and all weekend and holidays.

In the midst of the controversy, actor Daniel Guzmán has published a successful tweet that accumulates more than 2,500 ‘likes’ in just two hours and in which he drops: “Because going out to the street to stop the atrocity of the rise in electricity, no. Not?”.

“What the Government has wanted to do is lower the price and cost of the majority of citizens. There is a lot of talk about the rates, but in 75% of the hours the electricity consumption rate goes down ”, he stated.

“What I want to point out is that 75% of the hours go down, that practically with a consumption similar to what we had until now, the average is a 3% drop in the cost of electricity consumption,” he insisted.

Guzmán’s tweet has provoked reactions like these:
