A millionaire who made headlines for eating cat food to save money is back in the spotlight.
On the 4th (local time) the British Daily Star introduced the story of American billionaire Amy Elizabeth.
Amy gained attention by appearing on the television show “Extreme Chipskates” (The Great Miser) which aired on the American cable channel TLC.
His net worth is $5.3 million, which is about 6.7 billion won in Korean money.
To save money, Amy cooks with canned cat food, which is cheaper than regular canned tuna.
The Daily Star reported an interview with Amy’s friend during the introduction of the broadcast in which Amy appeared.
A friend of Amy’s told the Daily Star: ‘Amy invited me for a tuna sandwich, but it tasted like fish. I looked into the kitchen and saw an empty cat jar.’
Amy has even been seen taking a cold shower to reduce boiler use on the Extreme Chip Skates show.
Amy’s ex-husband Michael Murray said he gave the house to Amy because he was worried about living in a small place after his divorce because he was saving up money.
Pointing out that each can of catfish costs 59 cents (about 750 won), Amy said, “I bought it because it was cheaper than canned tuna.”
