Inspector General Eko Indra Heri was transferred from his position as South Sumatra Police Chief (South Sumatra) after the excitement of Rp 2 trillion prank donations from children Akidi Tio, Heryanty. Inspector General Eko Indra now serves as the Coordinator of the Expert Staff (Koorsahli) of the Indonesian National Police.
The resignation was written in a telegram issued on Wednesday (25/8/2021), and signed by the Assistant Chief of the National Police for HR (As HR) Inspector General Wahyu Widada. Inspector General Eko Indra is one of the 3 regional police chiefs who have been transferred.
Inspector General Eko Indra spoke about his removal from office. He did not question the transfer of positions that occurred.

The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police Kombes Supriadi added, Inspector General Eko expressed his gratitude to his media colleagues in South Sumatra, especially in Palembang.
“We can both see from the beginning until the telegram containing the transfer of positions, our Regional Police Chief has not stopped helping the people of South Sumatra from reducing crime rates to providing direct assistance to the community,” he said.

Who will replace Inspector General Eko Indra Heri after the South Sumatra Police Chief was removed? His replacement was Inspector General Toni Harmanto. Currently, Inspector General Toni Harmanto is the Head of the West Sumatra Police (Head of West Sumatra Police).
