Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire. Best wishes from the Mayor to the municipal youth councilors. Daniel Gillonnier, the mayor, on the occasion of this beginning of the year, presented the wishes of the municipality to the representatives of the municipal youth council on Saturday morning.
After a very prolific first year for the young councilors, the ceremony kicked off a second year of their term. After getting to know their elders and having discovered the town hall and its institutions, the young people have refined the project to which they have been committed for two years.
Memorable visits punctuated this first year of operation with the visit of the Senate, in September, to the Luxembourg Palace, of the National Assembly, in November, to the Bourbon Palace (at the invitation of Perrine Goulet), or the visit of the Panthéon where many personalities important to the country are buried.
A very constructive meeting with their counterparts from the Charenton-le-Pont youth council led to a fruitful exchange.
A flea market with the Red Cross
The three commissions set up for the youth municipal council worked on the three issues requested by the latter during the elections. In particular solidarity, young people are preparing a market with the Red Cross, the fruits of this animation will be donated. The committee on the subject of sport, culture and heritage is organizing an exhibition and will of course be part of the Heritage Days.
As for the living environment and the environment, it will renew the city rally, as well as a zero waste challenge for the environment.
Daniel Gillonnier thanked the young people for their involvement in their work as advisers, for their presence during the commemorations which remain the memory to be transmitted to the younger generations and he declared himself very happy with the work done in this past year.
Stephanie Ouvry, deputy, very moved, was pleased with the understanding that reigns between the young people of the council who come from very different backgrounds and who knew how to work together and with the elected adults.
The culmination of this ceremony was a moment appreciated by the young people. Indeed, Daniel Gillonnier invited the municipal youth council to visit the decision-making center of the municipality: the mayor’s office. The meeting concluded with the tasting of the traditional galette des Rois.
