On Saturday evening, the project “Autumn Wind Musician” will take the stage of the festival “Saldus Saule”.
In 1999 and 2005, his son Felix Kiģelis, encouraged and supported by Saldus Saule, created unique music albums entitled “Autumn Wind Musician”, in which Ēriks Ķigelis’ songs from the “Livu” Gold Fund were performed forever. performed by the best Latvian musicians. However, two albums are not enough to sing all Erik Kigelis’ songs, so this year – in 2022 – the project Autumn Wind Musician will go where he is waiting – to his beloved listeners at the festival “Saldus Saule”.
The project has brought together: Felix Kigelis (vocals, guitar), Erik Kigelis junior (vocals), Diāna Lube (vocals), Guntars Mucenieks (keys, vocals), Andris Akermanis (bass, vocals) and Matiss Birz (drums) to listen hear the best melodies of all time, whose words are memorized by both a big and a small listener. The festival “Saldus Saule” will feature not only the most popular songs, but also premieres and lesser-known Erik songs.
Felix Kiegel says: “Autumn wind musician – it’s a legend, it’s bone-to-bone music, it’s an event. The musician of the autumn winds is the rebellious “live” Ēriks Ķígelis with his melodic songs, which has laid the foundations for Latvian rock music and whose songs are able to lift concert-goers even after 40 years. See you at the festival “Saldus Saule” – we will be waiting for you. “
