On the occasion of Heritage Days, the cultural service of the City of Anglet proposes to the public to orient themselves towards the exhibitions already in progress and has retained several dates inscribed in its agenda, associating classical music, Gascon polyphonies and jazz.
The program
Saturday September 19, 2020: “Arty” afternoon around the 40 years and over exhibition! A look at the contemporary art collection of the City of Anglet, which runs until October 31 at the Villa Béatrix Enea, with a unique two-voice tour and a concert specially designed for the exhibition and the Villa Beatrix Enea, with at 3 p.m., with Sophie Prat, cultural mediator of the city, and Claude Benavides who, as Director of Culture, helped to put together this collection.
At 5 pm, “Partita” concert, by saxophonist Éric Lenormand. On the program: baroque repertoire with works by Bach (Partita in A minor BWV 1013), compositions and improvisations for saxophone and electronic installation. Reservation on anglet.fr (“outings” section) or on 05 59 58 35 60.
In connection with the exhibition “40 years and over!”, Commented visit “When the town hall unveils its works”, to discover the paintings and sculptures from this collection and installed in the offices and corridors of the Hôtel de city and municipal services. Musical and pictorial heritage
Workshop: Gascon polyphonies by Fanny Chatelain. Presentation of traditional Gascon polyphonies. On the program: the study of pieces from the oral tradition, songs that accompanied daily life, and the construction of the language of polyphonies. On registration. At the Quintaou library, “Artists’ books and others: without reserve!”, By Jana Lottenburger and Judith Millot from Labo Estampe. The library presents a selection of artists’ books from its collection. Saturday, September 19 at 3:30 p.m. Free admission, subject to availability.
At the end of the Anglet jazz festival, Jazz on the grass by the Arcad association, with the collaboration of the City of Anglet. On the program: Maa J 5tet, Jean-Marie Ecay Trio and The Soul Jazz Rebels. As part of the Anglet Jazz Festival (September 17–20). Sunday September 20 from 1 p.m. Baroja estate park. Free entry.
